Explore at your own pace
Explore our maze in the Espelette pepper field at your own pace. Open from July to November. The walk takes around 30 minutes and is ideal for families with young children or anyone who would like to discover the farm independently.
The Maze trail is available in English. The information along the route and the quiz are translated so that you can enjoy the experience independently.

Are guided tours available in English?
Our free guided tours are available in French only. English-speaking visitors can request a private guided tour in English, subject to prior arrangement and availability. Please contact our team before your visit to discuss your requirements and request a quote.
Do I need to book a visit to the Atelier du Piment?
No. Individual visitors and families do not need to book for the free French-language tours shown on this page. Prior arrangement is required for groups of more than 10 people and for private guided tours in English.
Do tour times change depending on the season?
Yes. Tour times change depending on the season, holidays, public holidays and events taking place at the Atelier. This page shows the current schedule available at the time of your visit.
Can there be additional tours later in the afternoon?
Yes. From 13 September, the scheduled tours are at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. Additional tours may sometimes be offered after 2:30 pm, depending on visitor numbers and the groups already booked. Please ask our team directly when you arrive at the Atelier to find out what is available that day.
When is the best time to visit if I want to avoid the busiest periods?
